2024 FAST Frogs Swim Lessons Program- JUNE session

Welcome to the FAST Frogs 2024 Summer Swim Lessons Registration!   Please carefully read the following before completing the registration process.

This registration form is for the June session. The program will run June 3rd - 27th. Parents will sign up for a lesson time slot at 8:30 am, 9 am or 9:30 am.

The FAST Frog Lesson Program is designed for entry-level swimmers who have little to no prior swimming experience. Swimmers must be four years old as of June 1 to be eligible for the Lessons program.

For the 2024 swim season, the registration priority for the Lesson Program is given to members of the Lake Forest, Forest Creek, and Forest Creek III Homeowners Associations (HOAs), and siblings of non-HOA FAST Frogs swimmers. However, the Lessons program is open to non-HOA swimmers as well.

If an HOA resident swimmer makes adequate progress as determined by the coaching staff, they may be moved into the Tadpoles program and may even be made eligible to participate in FAST Frogs swim meets. Non-HOA swimmers are not eligible to be moved into the Tadpoles program. 

Lessons will be 30-minute group sessions generally with a 3:1 swimmer-to-coach ratio to ensure swimmer safety and adequate instruction.  

Registration fees are $190 for the four week session. Evaluations are not required, and swimmers may be moved between coaches based on their progress during lessons.

The Forest Area Swim Team (FAST), with permission from the Forest Creek (FC), Lake Forest (LF) and Forest Creek III (FCIII) HOA’s, uses the HOA pools in the participating neighborhoods for swim practices. Residents must be in good standing with their home HOA to register with FAST. 

Lessons participants are not counted as Returning Swimmers for 2025 season registration and will follow the registration priority documented in the FAST Frogs registration policy.

A partial refund of $125 will be given for swimmers who withdraw for illness or other family circumstances before May 17th.  A formal request to withdraw a swimmer from the team must be submitted to the team administrator at [email protected].  There are no exceptions to this policy.

Membership Agreement

Each member of FAST and their families must comply with the following:  (1) all eligibility requirements of the North Austin Aquatic League (NAAL) and your home HOA (as applicable); (2) official instruction during each meet; (3) instructions and practice requirements of the swim team; (4) volunteer requirements; and (5) all the rules of conduct and safety.

Liability Waiver

I certify that I am the Parent or Legal Guardian of the above-named Participant(s) who is under 18 years of age and I am fully competent to sign this Agreement. By registering the Participant with the Forest Area Swim Team, I agree to participate or allow my child(ren) and family members to participate in the Forest Area Swim Team. I acknowledge that the nature of the activity may expose Participant(s) to hazards or risks that may result in Participant’s illness, personal injury or death and I understand and appreciate the nature of such hazards and risks.

In consideration of Participant being permitted to participate in activities or events sponsored or conducted by the Forest Area Swim Team (the “Activity”), I hereby accept all risk to Participant’s health and of his/her injury or death that may result from such participation. I hereby release the Forest Area Swim Team, including other contracted facilities, its governing board, officers, employees, agents, contractors, and representatives from any and all liability to myself and Participant, as well as Participant’s personal representatives, estate, heirs, next of kin, and assigns, for any and all claims and causes of action arising from or relating to Participant’s participation in the Activity. This release includes, but is not limited to, any alleged loss of, or damage to, Participant's personal property as well as any loss or damage and for personal injury or death, that occurs on any premises where the Activity is being conducted or that results from, is related to, or occurs during Participant's participation in the Activity, whether caused by negligence of the Forest Area Swim Team and/or its contracted facilities, its governing board, officers, employees, agents, contractors or representatives, or otherwise. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Forest Area Swim Team and its governing board, officers, agents, employees, agents, contractors, and representatives against any and all liability for personal injury or death of any person(s), including myself, my child(ren) and/or other family members, and damage to my property, the property of my child(ren) and/or the property of other family members that may result from any negligent or intentional act or omission relating in any way to Participant or any Activity.

I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS AGREEMENT AND UNDERSTAND IT TO BE A FULL AND GENERAL RELEASE OF ALL CLAIMS AND CAUSES OF ACTION, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, RELATING TO PARTICIPANT'S INJURY OR DEATH OR DAMAGE TO PARTICIPANT'S PROPERTY THAT OCCURS WHILE PARTICIPATING IN THE DESCRIBED ACTIVITY AND IT OBLIGATES ME TO INDEMNIFY THE PARTIES NAMED FOR ANY LIABILITY FOR INJURY OR DEATH OF ANY PERSON AND DAMAGE TO PROPERTY CAUSED BY PARTICIPANT'S NEGLIGENT OR INTENTIONAL ACT OR OMISSION.
