The Forest Area Swim Team (FAST) Frogs
FAST is a non-profit, recreational summer swim team based in the Forest Creek, Forest Creek III and Lake Forest subdivisions in East Round Rock, TX. In 2004, the teams inaugural season, we had 169 swimmers. Since then we have grown to approximately 280 swimmers, ages 4-18. We are currently members of the North Austin Aquatics League (NAAL).
The goal of the FAST Frogs is to provide our local youth with the opportunity to have fun and improve their swimming skills. We do not have a fundraising requirement and therefore rely on registration fees and sponsors for funding. Parental involvement is vital the success of our team.
The FAST season lasts approximately 9 weeks. Swimmers will have the opportunity to participate in 6 swim meets along with a final Championship Meet. We practice Monday through Thursday afternoons until the end of the school year. Practices then move to the mornings and are held 5 days a week. Practices are held in our three neighborhood pools - Forest Creek, Forest Creek III and Lake Forest.
We are extremely fortunate to have head swim coach Mark Stohrer giving our swimmers expert instruction for the past 12 years. In 2017, we welcomed back Anya Lopez-Fuentes to the coaching team as the Lead Tadpole Coach.
