As a way to reward swimmers for their hard work and attendance efforts, we are presenting each with the attached “dog tag” chain for which they will earn beads. Swimmers may attach the chains to their swim bags or wear them. Swimmers will earn color-coded beads throughout the season to recognize a variety of efforts … they can be earned more than once when appropriate. All beads are awarded on an “honor code” basis! Blue - On-time to practice (awarded on random days about once a week ... Spirit Committee member will stand at gate and pass out to all who arrive prior to practice time). Green - Attend a swim meet. Black – Swim a stroke legally during a meet. Max of 4 black beads – one for each stroke mastered. Iridescent – Successfully swim an Individual Medley (IM) in a meet without being DQ’d (May earn only once). Red - Attend "Swim Team Night" at Dell Diamond. YELLOW – Attend end of season Party. Orange – Attend Lampost Pizza after meet(s). Purple – Participate in the team picture. White – Spirit Bead – awarded by Ready Bench Parents to recognize whatever they deem appropriate (support of peers, good sportsmanship, cooperation on the bench, etc.). Glitter Gold – Coaches’ Bead - to be awarded by coaches for whatever they deem appropriate (hard work in practice, mastered a new stroke, good sportsmanship, etc.). Gold – Perfect attendance at practices. Shiny Silver- For Tadpoles that graduate to a FROG. Clear – Frosty bead, for those swimming when the water is cold.
